Kinsale is a town in Co. Cork, Irlenad, 25 km south of Cork City on the coast near the mouth of the River Bandon. Kinsale is a popular resort town for both Irish and foreign tourists & is known for its many gourmet restaurants & quaint narrow streets. ~~ St. Multose, a medieval church built in 1190, is among the Church of Ireland’s oldest churches and remains an excellent example of Norman architecture. It is the church where Charles the 2nd was proclaimed King of England by Prince Rupert, who’s fleet was anchored in Kinsale at the time.
